New York-based producer Prefuse 73, a.k.a Guillermo Scott Heren, has founded a new independent record label, Yellow Year.

The forthcoming first EP from the label pairs Prefuse 73 with US electronic producer Teebs of Brainfeeder as the collaboration Sons Of The Morning.

Their first track, The Way The Winter Passed Us, was released with a teaser video online last week.

The video features ambient, glowing imagery as rolling clouds flicker and fade in a dreamlike sequence. Layered sounds of harps and clicks open into the track with a background of white noise. It then subsides into an easy beat, as a smooth echo creates a tunnel of sound.

Following collaborations on Yellow Year will include Lapalux, Nathan Fake, Synkro, Dimlite, and more.
