Dau Dau is an artist based out of Ipswich, Queensland who is making waves for himself and his crew Swish Music lately. The 12-member collective has been on a steady roll over the last year with releases like ‘Showtime‘, ‘Blow‘ and most recently ‘Dreams‘ running up the numbers locally. Today, Dau links with fellow Swish spitters TMB The Driver and Deemenace on ‘Big City’, a track that runs through memories and walks the audience through the trials and tribulations of growing up Black in Ipswich. Dau Dau, TMB and Deemenace take turns at offering an insight into life in Ipswich and the pain of having close friends locked up, lamenting on the track as a motivation toward making it out of certain circumstances.

“Big City came together as a song one night when I was feeling down about my friends being in lock up, it’s a pain and frustration song towards the system of people being locked up without any evidence,” Dau Dau told us. “We hope people relate to it as much as we do”.
