It feels like a tale of Tupac’s life story has been a long time coming, but we never really envisioned ‘Tupac: The Musical’. However, acclaimed theatre director Kenny Leon sees things differently and is slated to direct the 2014 spectacle ‘Holla If Ya Hear Me’, an anti-violence “unconditional love” story inspired by the music of Tupac.

“Some people look at hip-hop and they think they hate everything black or they think they hate everything that uses profanity, or they think it’s about gun violence,” Leon said, calling Tupac a “prophet.”Although the broadway musical will not feature Tupac as a character, the story will no doubt resonate with his fans and the entire hip hop community.
