Okay, firstly I need to state that I’m gonna post on some music today that you’re gonna hate (and some you’ll love too, I’m not heartless). I’m not saying it’s great, I am saying you need to know about it. By ‘it’ I mean the state of contemporary music. You may get angry but at least you’re informed.  Now that is over with… Kitty Pryde. I don’t know anything about this girl except she looks like she should play a banjo and sing songs about skipping ropes at a coffee house but unfortunately for us she doesn’t do that. She raps. Kind of. Some people will love this shit. Young kids into mumblecore nothingness who think wearing those stupid stuff animal style zany asian hats will dig it. Everyone else will feel their heart break from the first bar and not in a good way like when you listen to Hall and Oates for the first time when you’re high. Vice’s music channel Noisey had something to do with the vid, and said this…

“Music is all about bringing people together—especially when those people are capable of virtually crashing internet servers with the snap of a Twitpic. Noisey teamed up with Kitty “Rap Game Taylor Swift” Pryde and Riff “Rap Game James Franco” Raff in Daytona Beach for “Orion’s Belt,” the new cut off of Kitty Pryde’s recent acclaimed EP, Haha, I’m Sorry. Cavorting around a beachside carnival, the dynamic duo gets into some (surprisingly) good, clean fun in a video that will inevitably be referred to as “Rap Game That-Last-Scene-In-Grease.””

Ew, did they just say twitpic? In the words of the blog where I found it: “Oh, good; There’s a new Kitty Pryde video, says no one”.
