After starting his Built On Glass tour a couple of weeks ago in Australia, Chet Faker is back on everyone’s radar. Whether you’re a fan or not, if you happened to be at The Forum for his Melbourne shows – you would have been converted. Beard aside, the man has really got somethin’. If you’re a long time fan, you’ll know his Blackstreet cover of No Diggity and you either love it or you hate it.
When it came to a cover for Triple J’s ‘Like A Version’, Nick Murphy borrowed another 90s song and made it his own. At its time, (Lover) You Don’t Treat Me No Good by blues artist Sonia Dada spent four weeks at the top of the ARIA charts. Chances are you were only a couple of years old though so you may not remember that. I’m gonna take a risk and say his cover is potentially better.
Don’t take my word for it though, hit play.
