With co-signs from the likes of Drake and Kanye West, along with a song at the number three spot on the Billboard chart, Fetty Wap could very easily turn into one of these rappers that blows up fast, and burns out just as quickly (Bobby Shmurda, shmanyone?). But amazingly, even in this performance on Jimmy Kimmel’s show, Zoo Wap is showing himself to be surprisingly humble dude. He’s not feeling himself too much, but he sure as hell looks to be genuinely enjoying his time in the limelight which will likely take him a long way. But then again, he also has his phone chained to his jeans in a Louis Vuitton holster so things could still go either way here.
In this performance, Fetty teams up with Phony Ppl, a band who according to their Facebook page, combine “vintage astral funk, colorful world music, and dusted-out hip-hop”. Genre confusion aside, the guys seem to back Fetty up a bit better than Fall Out Boy did in his 2015 MTV Movie awards performance.
