The canon of rap is quite an extensive one, and over the years Bangs’ old mate Jimmy Fallon, and pop music lord Justin Timberlake, have taken distinct advantage of this in their “History Of Rap” series. The duo perform a medley of rap joints in each instalment, hoping that the often hilariously white audience can bop along in an endearing, albeit slightly off-beat fashion.
This sixth iteration is no different, as the guys cover a number of classic and current jams backed by The Roots, including Fetty Wap’s ‘My Way’, Nelly’s ‘Country Grammar’, R. Kelly’s ‘Ignition’, and MC Hammer’s ‘U Can’t Touch This’ (complete with Hammer Dance). All in all, these are always surprisingly entertaining when they come out – check out the latest effort for yourself in the gallery above.
