Coming off a performance of the song at the BET Awards over the weekend, Kendrick Lamar has continued his run of creating visually stunning accompaniments to his brilliant work on To Pimp A Butterfly by releasing the video for ‘Alright’. Arguably one of the more radio-friendly tracks on the album, the Colin Tilley-directed video emanates a good-time vibe that unfortunately, as it seemingly so often is, is killed by the cops.

The near seven-minute visual kicks off with some grim imagery of the reality of life in California, before Schoolboy Q, Ab-Soul and Jay Rock join Kendrick while he spits some new rhymes in his whip, which is naturally carried by a group of jerking policemen. The rest of the clip features Kendrick defying gravity like some kind of hood Jesus, floating through the streets of L.A. Finding himself high atop traffic lights and light poles, he assures us that everything will be just fine; until someone inevitably crashes the party. Check out the video for yourself in the gallery above.
