Your favorite teenage rapper, Kitty-formerly-known-as-Pryde, hits the booth to spit mad poetry about being shy, playing The Sims and eating Sour Patch Kids in the new video for “Florida,” the name of the state from which she sprung. With dreamy beat selection provided by Hot Sugar, Kitty’s signature whisper raps and a chorus that references a dope Japanese anime film, this is actually a good offering from the Kitty Bitty camp. But this video leaves more to be desired. Staring at Kitty shrug and look away from the camera for two and a half minutes leaves too much time for my mind to wander. She sort of looks like Kreayshawn here. What is this windbreaker doing? Did I forget to feed my fish today? Like that.
