Run the Jewels have dropped visuals for one of the most narrative-heavy tracks on Run the Jewels 2. The clip, created by Bug & Sluzzy, closely follows the topic of police corruption in Killer Mike’s opening verse before focusing on concepts of surveillance and media monitoring. It’s another unapologetic analysis of racial tensions in the US by the duo whose recent video clips have become increasingly powerful and confrontational. The simple cel shaded animation is a nice touch and is kind of reminiscent of the animation style in the 1991 video game Another World, or even Killer Mike’s solo vid for ‘Reagan’. Check the full clip in the gallery above.
