Compton MC and Top Dawg big player, Schoolboy Q has performed his latest single, “That Part” for the first time in front of a packed-out, completely bonkers Montreal crowd, as part of the city’s annual Mural Festival.
Despite the Kanye-featured track dropping more than a month ago, Q still gave it a worthwhile christening, getting the packed-out crowd bouncing along to its blistering bass line and incredibly catchy chorus.
Whilst the performance went ahead without an appearance from Ye himself, Q’s undeniable stage pizazz was more than enough to incite crowd-surfing and, of course, the odd stage diver who had to be ‘politely’ escorted away by security, much to Q’s ambivalence.
Q’s new record, Blank Face drops on July 8 this year, via Interscope and Top Dawg Entertainment.
Check out his performance of “That Part” in the above gallery, which includes a brief interview as part of Montreality’s web series.
