Following the release of his album Dark Red, Shlohmo has taken his live set to an impressive new level by forming a band to recreate the dark masterpiece using live guitars, synths, and drums. We told you about the gig when it was live streaming but since the channel has since been switched, we thought we’d bring you a copy that you can watch again and again and again. Boiler Room caught his London show and fed it through VHS scanline filtering and aspect ratio which adds to Shlohmo’s lo-fi style of music, making for a great performance. It can be hard to convey the vibe of a night, but feeding it through an analogue haze brings it to the closest point imaginable.
This visual insight is really just a teaser for what we’ve got in store for you when we bring Shlohmo and the WEDIDIT crew to Australia in July. Curious? Find more out about that right now and check the dates below.
