First Joey Bada$$, now The Weeknd. Fuck the year of the sheep (sorry NZ), 2015 is shaping up to be the year of the assault charge. At about 4:20am (you just can’t make this stuff up) police were called to the Cromwell Hotel after a fight had broken out which The Weeknd was involved in. When police arrived, the fight continued and officers attempted to break up the brawl. One apparently pulled our favourite Canadian producer into an elevator, where he decided it was a good idea to punch the cop in the head — Not actually a good idea. He was granted bail and obviously “escaped from Vegas” (according to his Instagram post) in style… private jet style by the look of it.
