Hype DC and Acclaim present Limit’d February Edition

Featuring Wave Racer, Elliott 'Numskull' Routledge, the latest sneaker drops, and more

Posted by

Last days of summer got you down? Don’t worry, because Limit’d has your back with all the freshest summer kicks to get into before the change of season. Head into autumn with your monthly copy of our hot takes and the latest drops.

We’re kicking of February with Sydney-born electronic producer Tom Purcell aka Wave Racer. Having captured Australia’s attention with the release of his debut EP Flash Drive in 2015, Purcell has graced the stage of some of the world’s biggest festivals and supported some of the most well-known names in electronic music. We chat with Purcell at home in his Melbourne studio about his thoughts on the Sydney lock out laws and his new musical direction.

Alongside Wave Racer, we get to know another Sydney creative, Elliott ‘Numskull’ Routledge. This visual artist turns the world around him into his canvas, with his art looking as at home on the side of a building as it does sitting in a gallery. Using colour as a narrative, Numskull explores colour theory through fun and bold patterns that fit into any medium. We talk to him about creativity, and what drives this expressive artist to think outside the traditional box when it come to displaying his colourful creations.

You might also notice that the Limit’d app needs an update, and it looks a little different – that’s because it is. We changed up the design at the end of last year to make it easier to use, faster to download, and just an all-round better experience. What hasn’t changed is Limit’d is still bursting with the freshest sneaker releases and Hypekit – Hype DC’s curated collection of apparel. Download the digital mag to seamlessly flip between colourways and styles, go behind the scenes on our features, and shop directly from the app.
