LA artist, Michael Jason Enriques, is known for his subversions of celebrity and pop culture, shown previously in his Mugshot Doppelgänger series that saw celebrity mugshots fused with vintage portrait-style mugshots of the 20s.

According to Enriques, his latest series, Cholafied, is a “Throwback to the Chola gangster style: ‘Sharpied’ eyebrows, dark lipliner, and the fumes from a can of Aqua Net. It’s a product of LA where subculture, celebrity obsession, street art, and stupidity are rolled up together like one of those bacon wraped hot dogs sold on Hollywood Blvd.”
