So Kanye has finally made it onto the fashion mainstage, showcasing at New York Fashion Week and releasing the Yeezy Boosts according to his original plan. But it wouldn’t be Kanye’s life without there being anyone criticising him over his latest venture. And while he has managed to schmooze his way onto the right-hand side of many a fashion authority (oh hai, Anna Wintour), expectedly, not all on high street are in support of Yeezus’ foray into fashion.

Most recently New York Fashion Week creator Fern Malice Mallis was asked her opinion on Kanye West’s effort this year and her response was, welp, not unlike much of what Kanye has been complaining about in fashion’s elite circles. Speaking to the New York Post, Mallis said “I’m kind of over Kanye. I mean, I’m not a fan of his music, and the attitude and the agenda is not my style.”

Hater? Well if she is, it’s not exclusively directed to the rapper-turned-fashion designer. She leant her opinion on Yeezy’s fellow adidas collaborator Jeremy Scott as well, saying “The last time I wore plastic was as a protective device when I was painting.”
