Footnotes is a weekly wrap-up of everything that’s happening in the world of sneakers. It’s your cheat sheet to the latest news like new drops, collabs, sales, store openings, and anything else related to what you put on your feet.

01. Yeezy 350 V2 Beluga 2.0

The latest colourway in the Yeezy family is the Beluga 2.0 which drops this week. The grey/bold orange/solid grey model will be dropping at JD Sports, exclusively at their Melbourne Central location. There’ll be a raffle system so pay attention to JD’s social channels to get all the info when they drop the deets. The demand for this one is likely to be one of the largest we’ve seen for the Yeezy silhouette so if you’re keen to cop you better be prepared.

02. Converse Cons x Civilist

Converse have teamed up with legendary Berlin skate store Civilist for a collaboration celebrating Berlin’s influence on global street culture. The collab sees two models get reworked by the Civilist team, including the One Star Pro and the Chuck Taylor All Star Pro. The pack takes inspiration from two of Berlin’s most famous landmarks: the TV Tower in the East, and the Radio Tower in the West. The CONS One Star Pro in white and CONS CTAS All Star Pro in black represent the stark contrast between the two, and come together as a pack to represent the united Berlin. Refined with subtle details, both silhouettes feature a debossed Civilist logo on heel strap, a Berlin city outline on the tongue and transparent soles backed by the visuals of Berlin’s highest buildings.

The pack launches in limited numbers November 21 and is exclusive to Converse online, Converse Emporium, Fast Times, and UPS.

03. PUMA launches Suede B-boy pack

PUMA are celebrating 50 years of the iconic Suede silhouette so get ready to hear a lot more noise from them over the next year. One part of that celebration is paying respect to their B-boy credentials with a new capsule release consisting of of PUMA Suedes, T7 track suits, tees and, accessories in OG styles and colorways. The collection dropped just yesterday so head to your local Puma retailer to cop it and kick it.

04. adidas Consortium x Neighborhood x Invincible

adidas Consortium has tapped Japanese label neighborhood and Taiwanese retailer Invincible for a special collaboration on the NMD_R1. The mostly monochrome colourway features some subtle and not-so-subtle references to tigers. There’s the subtle black-on-black tiger stripe through the three stripes but also an embroidered tiger on the right heel tab. Keep an eye on Consortium stores for the global release December 29.

05. Virgil Abloh visits Sydney on global "The Ten" tour

Virgil Abloh blew in to Sydney for a hot minute as a part of his global tour celebrating the release of “The Ten” with Nike. Acclaim was invited to a workshop with Virgil where we customised some Nike Air Force 1s. Check out our Instagram stories to see what went down and keep an eye out for a full recap coming soon.
