Get into Yohji Yamamoto’s creative process with Y-3’s fashion film

The collab brand Y-3 (Yohji Yamamoto x adidas) has just released two short films delving into master mind creative, Yohji Yamamoto’s personal insight and perspective into the brand aside senior design director Lawrence Midwood.

The documentary which debuted in Paris following the A/W16 collection turns an intimate eye on Yohji and his artistic motivations, aesthetic,  and the creative vision that follows each collection. The short film is testament to change, and pushing boundaries while challenging the status quo.

It isn’t the first time Yohji opened up about his creative process with Y-3, with his short film This Is My Dream, 2011 documenting S/S10, and focussing on the creative cycle of a collection, love of music, and artistic motivations.
