Grind London take on Tokyo for their ‘Nishi’ lookbook

A reminder why they titled their latest capsule 'International'

Posted by

GRINDLONDON has got effortless style down to a T. The brand is all about “road-ready menswear”, bringing original concepts to life in conjunction with their own roots and culture. Influenced by London’s numerous subcultures, their most recent lookbook is a killer.

‘Nishi’—meaning ‘west’—is every bit as cool, calm, and collected as we would expect from the London label which is becoming known for their punchy graphic tees. Shot in Tokyo by Sayda Metwali, who also styled the whole thing, ‘Nishi’ showcases their latest collection. The AW16 ‘International’ release is a representation of the world of travel, where the movement of people, attitudes, styles, and ideologies that the brand values comprise the main source of inspiration. It is this integration of people that they describe as “creating a multi-national-singular-lifestyle Utopia”.

The lookbook shows off a range of jackets, hoodies, shirts, trousers, caps, and beanies. Both the hooded jackets and the coach jackets are water resistant which is a major key for Londoners and Melbournians alike. Have a flick through the lookbook above and check out the collection in its entirety here.
