Japanese photographer Hiroshi Sugimoto finally gives us a peek at the limited edition scarves he’s been working on with French label, Hermés.

The square scarves, known as carrés, each have a distinct colour gradient of reds and blues; greens and yellows inspired by the “complex prismatic system of Polaroid photographs that captures the first rays of sunlight”. After working on this project for 10 years, Sugimoto detaches himself from the heavy palette that is often seen in his photographs. These scarves are currently being shown at La Vierriere in Brussels until the 29th of September before being moved to the flagship gallery in Tokyo from 14th November to 30th December.

For the mean time, check out these photos from Hermes.
