After more than a few bombardments of Stan Smith colourways you’re probably starting to feel the silhouette has become a tad contrived: maybe that it’s inherent cool has been diluted. But then the brand with the three stripes goes and creates something like this Woven ‘Core Black’ iteration Stan Smith and all of a sudden you’re thinking maybe you can make space in this week’s budget for another pair of sneaks. Maybe another week of eating packet ramen wouldn’t be so bad.
I’m with you my guys because this shoe is popping. Its thick weave makes that ‘Prime Knit’ look fit for peasants. It’s like this shoe is Egyptian cotton and every other rendition is a scratchy polyester-feeling bed sheet brought from aisle 2 at Coles. Leather detailing on the heel adds to its luxe factor and maybe to its price point too… totally worth it though.
