Having carved a name for themselves through high-quality apparel, it was only a matter of time before Maison Kitsuné  decided to delve into another range of wardrobe essentials — footwear. Creative directors Gildas Loaëc and Masaya Kuroki say that the transition was a “natural step” in the brand’s development as they  wanted to offer footwear “that were masculine and feminine as well as chic and laid back”. The initial selection has four signature styles: a unisex penny loafer, a men’s lace-up boot,  a women’s ankle boot, and a Mary Jane pump.

Crafted from Italian leather, the initial selection is expected in stores and online on May 2, with the promise of seasonal colours dropping throughout the year. Check out a sneak peak of the debut footwear collection above.
