For this year’s autumn/winter collection, beloved Australian label Vanishing Elephant have gone against Melbourne’s strongly-held idea that the arrival of cold weather means you have to drain your life of all colour and dress like you’re permanently waiting for a last-minute funeral invite. Instead, VE offer a refreshing alternative: inject some much-needed vibrancy into your apparel with their trademark prints – think zigzags, tie dies and even Hawaiians – on their trusty shirts and shorts. There’s also some lighter autumn-appropriate outerwear in the form of a sandy anorak with rainbow-stained sleeves, a black vest with contrast materials as well as some tailoring for those fancier events coming up on your calendar. Once again, it’s a collection defined by the brand’s modern aesthetic of smart street-wear with splashes of fun individuality that Australia – and gradually, the world – has come to know and love.

The first drop from the collection has hit stores now, including Vanishing Elephant’s own online shop.
