Brand/artist collaborations can be a bit of a land mine. A lot of the time, the credibility of a trending artist can suddenly hinge on how well they can angle a brand’s product direction towards the tastes of their fans. The latest artist to test these restless waters is Nicki Minaj, who recently revealed her collaboration with Nike and the Jordan brand via Instagram.

The female emcee has re-envisioned the ‘Jordan Westbrook 0′, the signature shoe from NBA star Russell Westbrook, and tricks it out with glittery pink panelling on the upper, golden mudguards and a rainbow sole.

Labelled the “Pinkprint” Jordan Westbrook 0 PE, Minaj debuted the shoes for the first time during her headline slot at the Jordan Brand Classic. Their is no word yet on when the sneakers will hit stores and how much they will retail for, but it will be interesting to see whether Minaj’s following will welcome the latest addition to her creative output.
