NikeCourt launches customisable tee popup celebrating the Aus Open

Serving up exclusive designs by local artists with a personalised twist

Posted by

To celebrate the first Grand Slam of the year, and its hometown Melbourne, Nike have launched the NikeCourt Tee Bodega. The popup onsite at the Australian Open features exclusive designs commissioned by local artists. To give fans a unique experience each tee is customisable onsite utilising similar technology to NikeID.

Travis Price and Nathan Nankervis were both commissioned by NikeCourt to create two designs that celebrate the history of the Australian Open in Melbourne. With their distinct personal styles it’s interesting to see what direction each artist took. Price’s designs centre on the attitude of professional sport and attitude of Melbourne as a city. Nankervis’ designs on the other hand are firmly cemented in the game of tennis, referencing the emotion of the game through expressively charged characters.

Fans will have a chance to get their hands on the exclusive designs throughout the Australian Open which runs until January 29th.
