KAWS to design a line of t-shirts for UNIQLO in 2016 NIGO and KAWS re-unite for a UT collection

After the announcement that Japanese designer NIGO and American artist KAWS were joining forces for Uniqlo’s t-shirt branch UT, we were left wanting more. Until now.
Uniqlo has just posted their first images, six looks to be precise, from the new collection on their Instagram page. “Are you ready for UT KAWS?” it reads. “A first look of the entire product line up is coming tomorrow. UT Creative Director @nigoldeneye and @KAWS devoted particular attention to all elements of the products, from the design and fabric to the inks.”
Each piece makes reference to KAWS’ iconic ‘Companion’ sculpture; a 16-foot grayscale, Mickey Mouse-like statue. NIGO also shared the news via his own Instagram.
According to NIGO, we should be able to see the collection in the flesh by late-April. Take a look at the first snaps of the collection in the gallery above.
