The Weeknd’s “Starboy” merch pop-up store heads to Melbourne

It's one of just four locations worldwide

One of the huge style trends to come out of 2016 has definitely been musicians’ tour merchandise – having evolved from just some shitty t-shirt you can cop at your local show to being a full-blown retail exercise to accompany basically any music-related project. You could say Kanye was a spearhead of this movement, with notable mentions going to Justin Bieber, Beyoncé, Travis Scott, and Rihanna to name a few. The Weeknd has also dabbled in this arena, having previously partnered with Alexander Wang on a bunch of apparel and accessories in line with his The Madness Tour, the singer is now getting ready to stage a worldwide merch campaign.

His anticipated new album Starboy is dropping this Friday, and to coincide with its release, The Weeknd has announced four exclusive pop-up stores across the globe and one of them has been slated for our very own hometown, Melbourne. Running from November 25-27, the stores will have limited edition Starboy merch on offer, including tees, outerwear, and accessories, and will popping up at Melbourne Central.
