This McDonald’s apparel catalogue is peak 1986

A retro orgasm of style, sleepwear, and accessories

These pages have come from the “The Smile Makers ’88” catalogue. It was sent out to McDonald’s franchise managers in 1987 and, let’s just say, it’s 64 pages of smiling white, middle-class, suburban Americans, adorned in any type of McDonald’s garment and accessory imaginable. This has to be the epitome of 1980s whiteness.

I mean, you have to admire the catalogue though. It is 64 pages of pure marketing heaven. The phones and watches are downright impressive, too. And that ’80s aesthetic takes me back to a retro paradise.

Actually, don’t judge me, but I think the clothes are pretty dope. Anyone know if these material jewels exist? Do yourself a favour and take a look at the priceless images in the gallery above. Check out the glorious catalogue in its entirety on Jason Liebig’s Flickr here.
