Big news for both ASOS and PUMA fans alike – for Spring 2012, the apparel giants are launching a truly awesome 60-piece collection of both apparel and accessories that fuses fashion and sport. Although they’re designed for looks rather than for athletic performance, the range makes use of technical sports finishes and shapes that encapsulate the modern era of heritage sports brands. Amongst many other highlights, the sharp collection features gilets and puffa jackets in mid greys and blues, modernised with contrasting internal detailing, technical zip finishes, and orange draw cords, each product donning the rubberised and embossed ASOS BLACK x PUMA logo. Pair these with their grey nylon sports trousers, and printed shirts inspired by architectural shapes. Flashes of bright orange run through the collection, often in subtle, simple detailing like zip ends, label tabs, and on the reverse of the collar, delicately adding to the graphic nature of the collection. Add to this a selection of black rucksacks and belts and you’ve got your Spring wardrobe sorted.

Photographer Jamie Morgan shot the lookbook, using talent from the worlds of sculpture, graffiti, and graphic design as the models. After the lookbook, check out the teaser trailers for the collection’s accompanying film shot by Ben Newman on the streets of Sao Paulo, documenting the lives of guerrilla graffiti collective Os Pixadores.

The full collection drops on the 25th September 2012 and will be available from ASOS.
