Vince Staples speaks on the best and worst rapper chains

Find out what Vince really thinks about these big ass chains

Posted by

Vince Staples plays cool for GQ once again, as he reviews some of the most memorable chains in hip-hop over the last decade.

The Big Ass chain worn by T-Pain is easily the most cartoon-like and brash chain to exist in history, but Vince gives it a serving saying it’s easily the worst chain he’s seen. Lil Wayne’s money bag and Flocka’s Muppet chain serve as markers for his favourite rappers and Vince delves deeper into what these chains signified to the world and what they represented in their careers at that point in history.

He skims over Kanye, Jay Z, and Migos’s respective efforts with appraisal and makes a point of how obscene Pharrell’s N.E.R.D chain is. When Vince saw it in real life HD his friends were taken aback, but he made the last point “if you can buy that chain, you could probably afford to fix it”.
