Legendary producer and co-founder of clothing label ICECREAM, Pharrell Williams, has now teamed up with an iconic cartoon character for his latest collection. SpongeBob SquarePants, known for living in a pineapple under the sea, can now be seen splashed across ICECREAM’s 2013 Capsule Collection, alongside his friend Patrick Star. Pharrell recently spoke to HYPEBEAST about his inspiration and the importance of cartoons to him as he was growing up. Pharrell likens cartoons to “second parents” and claims that being friends with Patrick Star would be “the best thing ever.” You can hear more about the collection and Pharrell’s inspiration in the video above.
