You might want to put some earplugs in because we are about to toot our own horn. For the last couple of months we’ve been working on a very special project with PUMA and this week it finally drops!
You’ve already seen our celebrations for the 45th Anniversary of the PUMA Suede and the very special Made In Japan Sapphire pack, well now behold the XLV Stories of The PUMA Suede book, which we created in collaborated on with PUMA. To mark the very special milestone, we compiled a collection of short stories from PUMA Brand Ambassadors and long-time friends of the Brand. Only 2,000 exclusive copies of the ‘XLV Stories of The PUMA Suede’ book were produced and will be gifted globally.
Forty-five influencers from around the globe were handpicked to submit their stories about the PUMA Suede for the book. We spoke with people ranging across the fields of dance, sport, art, music and style, which together form a first-hand history of the iconic shoe. Some highlights include artist Ron English, British rapper, Professor Green, Woody of Sneaker Freaker, the Parisian duo, Jay Smith and Greg Hervieux of BlackRainbow, and pro-skater, Bucky Lasek.
It was great working on the project as the Suede is a silhouette close to our hearts, as its roots are firmly based in street culture, much like ours. The book will be packaged together with the 45th Anniversary PUMA Suede Sapphire, which launched in-store on Friday, November 8th, in a commemorative box set in Asia-Pacific and Japanese Markets only.
There have been a lot of “You gotta see the boooook” moments in the office lately, which visitors can attest to. We have to say, we’re pretty damn proud of how this one came out. Thanks again PUMA for getting us on board. See the finished product in the gallery above.
