Tinashe has revealed her second album Joyride, dropping a desert themed trailer for the release, featuring self reflective mantras and trippy visuals.

The album is shaping up to be big, featuring a new collaboration with Drake as well as production from the likes of Max Martin, Dr. Luke, Hit-Boy, Boi-1da, and more.

In an interview with Rolling Stone she explained that the name Joyride is a reflection of how she has spent the past year, touring with Nicki Minaj as the support act for the Pinkprint tour, as well as performing her own shows across the US.

“I feel like I’ve been working really hard this year at developing a fan base, a touring base. I’m continuing to grow, but you always feel like you’re a little bit underappreciated, undervalued. Especially for me, it’s exciting to have new music and to give people a chance to rediscover me again.”

Tinashe is also joining Katy Perry on her tour of South America which ends in late October, after which she will be touring Joyride. The release date has not yet been revealed for the album, although it would be reasonable to expect it sometime in early October.
