Australian artist Nick Thomm has been based in New York for a while brewing up weird and iconic neon art across canvas, statue and skate deck.
Now, the former Melbournite is getting his first solo NYC show. The space will be showing off Thomm’s reinterpretation of collaging; a vibrant series of fever dream pop-culture pastiches, as well as his holographic skateboards and mesmerising 3D videos.
The work bleeds between physical objects and figures and online entities and concepts, highlighting the ever-diminishing gap between them in a hyper-connected society. Plus, it’s straight up mad trippy so enjoy it for that reason alone if you need to.
Thomm’s dropped a quick premiere video in celebration of the solo exhibition. Check it out in our gallery above.
