Halloween is just around the corner and among the expectedly offensive costume ideas (yes, even in 2016) there have been some legitimately creepy visuals surfacing leading up to the spooky ‘holiday’. One individual you might not think would be getting into the spirit is our favourite singer/dancer/dreamgirl FKA twigs but her latest project is a very on-brand interpretation of macabre and otherworldly themes.

Announcing her Rooms immersive art project earlier this year, twigs has taken to her Instagram (which is also how she found her incredible cast) to give us a sneak peek of what to expect. And let’s just say, this is not for the squeamish. It’s not gory in the traditional sense but, in true FKA twigs fashion, the mesmerising performance piece is an artistic take on some classic horror shit and is fixating as it is disturbing. If you’re not keen on seeing it for yourself, let’s just say that wet clay and red paint look a lot like other things when combined.

Follow-up photos also reveal a couple more of the astrology-themed rooms, with ‘Libra’ featuring the incredibly flexible contortionist Leilani Franco.

Our London-based mates will be able to experience twigs’ art IRL from October 27.
