Jimmy Fallon has long been a source of kind-of-humour. It’s not quite SNL and there’s the whole thing of most people wanting to punch him in the face but hey, he tries.

Slam poetry on the other hand is an art form in itself and has been around since the late eighties. Back in 2012, Tom Hanks performed a Full House slam poem on the show which has since notched up around two million views, which obviously wasn’t enough for Fallon given that the whole slam poetry thing took a bit of a hiatus on the show.

On Tuesday night however, Mr. Samuel L. Jackson was on to promote his new film, Captain America: The Winter Soldier and naturally, the only logical thing to do was to perform a slam poem based on the hit nineties TV show, Boy Meets World..?

The four-minute rendition pays homage to everything from Corey’s early days to the first time he laid eyes on Topanga… “Boy meets world, boy meets girl. Topanga, Topanga, Topanga, beats the heart of Corey a story as old as time. Daughter of hippies, name of a gypsy. TOPANGA!”

Let’s be honest though, the 65-year-old is no stranger to powerful literary monologues, with probably the dopest biblical delivery of all time, Ezekiel 25:17.
