It’s been 20 years since Speed was released back in 1994, and freelance web developer Michaela McCann has not forgotten about it. She has created a Twitter account, @Speed_1994, in which she is currently tweeting the film line-by-line, even using emojis to represent some of the action.

Since the account’s creation on April 20th, 150 tweets have been posted, covering most of the opening elevator scene. At this rate, it looks as though it will be completed by the 20th anniversary of its release on June 20th. That is, if 20th Century Fox doesn’t get all butthurt about it like Paramount did earlier this year over a similar Twitter reciting Top Gun using screen caps.

I don’t know. Maybe he couldn’t hold his wad long enough. It’s a common problem among middle-aged men — so I’m told.
