This year marked the third instalment of the multi-day POW WOW art event, a public art project based in Honolulu that just keeps growing and growing. Although originally conceived in Hong Kong, the event moved to Hawaii as a way of enriching the local creative scene. With a line-up of over 50 local and international artists, the project aims to bring people together to celebrate art, music, and a variety of cultures. The founder of POW WOW Hawaii, Jasper Wong, wanted to “paint a whole neighbourhood and see what happens”, and what happens is pretty damn impressive. Check out part one of the three-part series documenting the event above and stay tuned for the next two parts over the coming weeks.
