US based Brazilian artist, Rick Silva has revealed his latest project in the form of a series of animated videos depicting crazy looking virtual birds.

The 18-part series features thirty second videos of surreally imagined birds, or disjointed parts of them, in full flight simulation.

Silva’s inspiration of seeing “technology as nature” is strongly reflected in the computer generated videos. The geometrically inspired birds are imagined in triangulated metallic and colourful shapes, blending the beauty of organic forms with the rigidity of mechanical animations and shapes. While the seamless movements of the otherworldly birds sends various psychedelic ripples through the air in the forms of exploding pixels and expanding, multicoloured trails. Altogether making for some captivating footage.

This is definitely one to check out next time your tripping.
