ICYMI, there has been an increase in insanely decadent, artery-clogging, totally Instagrammable milkshakes cropping up in the cafés Australia’s inner city suburbs. One that comes to mind is that of Canberra’s Pâtissez, debuting overflowing ‘Freakshakes’ that made the locals (and basically the entire internet) lose their shit.
Food blogger Alana Dimou, of alanabread.com, has definitely noticed the “cult of the Extreme Milkshake” running rampant in her native Sydney and has decided to raise the stakes with her own recipes. They’re impractical, totally over the top but also fucking awesome. Featuring ‘flavours’ such as Bacon Burger, Coles Baked Fresh Today Bakery Aisle and (my personal favourite) S’mores Chicken, these gigantic creations are a feast for the eyes as well as the stomach.
