AMC and Sony Pictures Television have confirmed a Breaking Bad spin-off series is in the works. The new series, with the working title Better Call Saul, is centred around Bob Odenkirk’s Saul Goodman character, who portrays the sketchy lawyer archetype to a tee. The plan is to produce a one-hour show that will focus on the evolution of Saul before he ever became meth magnate Walter White’s lawyer.
It has also been confirmed Bob Odenkirk will continue to play the role of Saul, in case you feared the casting of a younger actor to play the role of a youthful Goodman. Peter Gould, a writer and producer who has worked on all five seasons of Breaking Bad has also been confirmed and will be “spearheading the project.”
