Microsoft is the last of the major console makers to unveil the impending release of a new gaming device, the Xbox One. In an hour long conference Microsoft executives demonstrated the system’s ability to respond to voice command to seamlessly flip between apps, television, game play and movies; as well as capability to run them split screen simultaneously. The Xbox One is stylised as a comprehensive entertainment system, deemed to replace multi-device setups in lounge rooms across the globe. The Kinect system and controller have both faced updates in the redesign.

Xbox One will be released before the end of the year, the price is yet to be disclosed.
