Flying in the face of Australian touring mogul AJ Maddah’s “zero festivals going to WA in 2015” forecast, Perth’s CIRCO is rolling into its second year with middle fingers raised.

This year’s progressive lineup entices internationals Ryan Hemsworth, Mykki Blanco, ODESZA, Nosaj Thing, Visionist, Beneath, Lakim, Esta, DJ Q and more.

They will be joined by locals like Nina Las Vegas, Yahtzel, Violent Soho, Touch Sensitive, Kite String Tangle and the DMA’s. Not to mention a troupe of IRL circus performers swinging by to liven things up.

All this is why we’re particularly pleased to be premiering this mixtape of CIRCO 2014 talent, mixed by Perth fixture Sleepyhead, loaded with special edits and new material.

Sleepyhead has this to say about the mixtape:

“I’m never going to be a producer, I get my kicks from making mixtapes instead. I had an absolute blast making last year’s mixtape, so there was no way I was going to miss the chance to make the tape for 2014. There’s no festival quite like CIRCO in Australia, that’s willing to take such crazy chances and create a party that’s truly special. With the mixtape I tried to mirror that spirit, so its all done in one take, no safety net, trying to connect the dots between the all the producers, bands, DJs and rappers on the bill.”
