Basenji is winding up his support slot for Hermitude this weekend but 2015 is about to get pretty exciting for the Sydney-based producer. Dropping his first official single for the year, the Future Classic artist is just getting warmed up. Tell us a little about this release.
This is a song I made with Perth group Scenic! The original instrumental I made a while ago and it lay in hiding waiting for the right vocals. Scenic came along and added exactly what it needed. Super happy with how it turned out.
What inspired the artwork for this track?
The artwork was very last minute. I got in contact with my friend from Voena (a Sydney photography company) bought a bouquet of roses and started taking off the petals one at a time. Its name is Tanooki and it is Astral People’s resident office dog.
