The notorious Fool’s Gold label founded by Nick Catchdubs, A-Track and Dust La Rock is a lot of things. Attached to all things effortlessly cool – a record label that produces its own vinyl and distinctive emerging artists, endless summer parties, MP3s and a rubber duck. For them, bravely starting a label in the time where music is suddenly and illegally free, has paid off – the gold bar of Fool’s Gold is now synonymous for artists ahead of the wave. Last year they opened a shop in the heart of Brooklyn, “open Monday-Saturday from noon right up until 6pm, happily serving all your Fool’s Gold songs, gear and common swag-connected needs”. The store is even covered in intricately designed wallpaper featuring their and their artists’ logos. Someone buy me the tie-dye t-shirt!
