It’s official: Seinwave is (maybe) the next big thing in internet music – you heard it here first folks. (Shoutout to DEER for posting this on Facebook though). Step aside, vaporwave; take a hike, PC Music, because Melbourne’s own Abelard just turned the game on its head with ☆ＳＥＩＮＷＡＶＥ☆ blueprint ‘What’s the deal with airline food?’.
The track might seem like another gimmicky nostalgia trap, but, I assure you, it’s much more than that. In fact, the song goes so hard in its own right that (dare I say), even if Seinfeld never existed, it would still inspire the very same colossal movement that is (surely) about to take the music world by storm.
Sure, the track is pretty much high-quality vapour-/chill-wave with some added trademark Seinfeldian slap bass, but, if you ask me, that insatiable bass sound is just what wavy music (and music in general) needs right now. Tha fonk ain’t dead.
Hit Abelard_ up on Soundcloud to find out if there’s more where this came from.
