With absolutely no warning, Busta Rhymes has dropped his latest single, ‘Thank You’, a banger featuring a few of his good mates, Q-Tip, Kanye West and Lil Wayne. Being old fans of both Busta and Q, this does have me on a kind of ‘Scenario’ vibe, albeit a little more club banger than conscious hip hop. Luckily most of the rapid-fire bars come from the ‘90s MCs, with Kanye handling the chorus and Lil Wayne with an obligatory Young Money-related intro.
