Mike Tyson is no stranger to the demons rapper Chris Brown seems to be dealing with lately: assault charges, rage issues and probation. The rapper was arrested last Sunday and charged with a misdemeanour assault (to which he pled not guilty) after allegedly hitting a man in the face outside of a Washington DC club and could face six months in prison if found guilty.
In a recent interview with New York’s 95.5 radio station, Tyson acknowledged the contradictions of someone in his position giving advice, “I can’t even believe I’m saying this because I’m trying to work on getting it together,” Tyson continued. “This is what I know. Chris should know this. If you’re not humble in this world, this world will thrust humbleness upon you. That’s just what’s gonna happen.”
He continued to reach out to Brown saying “What he really needs to understand is that eventually, if you keep doing that stuff, people will turn on you…I’m just worried about him because he’s really a sweet kid. He’s probably going through some overbearing pressures and if he keeps getting violent cases, he was arrested for this, assault here, assault there, they’re going to put him somewhere where that’s all they do is assault people. That’s what they do all day.”
And we all know where that is.
A representative from Brown’s camp issued a statement stating the rapper has entered a rehab facility, presumably for anger management, suggesting he is doing all he can to avoid jail time.
Stay tuned for the celebrity boxing match between the two. We wish.
