Since their breakout 2013 EP Solow, Keys N Krates have ridden shotgun in a tandem lounge chair with convulsing electronic genres and their interrelated producers, occasionally clutching the wheel with their three left fists to swerve the trap movement one way or another. With their follow-up EP, Every Nite, dropping late last year, they upped their game once more before doubling back and whispering 2015 Australian tour dates in our ear. We spoke to the trio briefly mere weeks before they hit our shores.

The first album I ever bought was… Spice Girls – Spice.
The last was… Spice Girls – Forever.
If I wasn’t making music I would probably be… a Spice Girl.
I’m addicted to… the Spice Girls.
The best thing about touring is… we put Spice Girls posters in our rider.
The worst thing is… we can’t bring the posters on stage ’cause it would be weird for everybody else.
My perfect gig would involve… an obnoxious amount of subs and a lot of hummus backstage.
The first gig we to went to was… Shabba Ranks.
The most important thing on my rider is… hummus.
My hangover cure is… airports.
