Yesterday saw a flood of Australian media and celebrity guests gather in Sydney’s Former Paramount Pictures Building for a preview of Adidas’ Autumn Winter 2013 collection. Uniting their two divisions, the collection mixed Sports Performance with Adidas Originals to present over forty looks across the Originals, football, running, training, and tennis categories. Opening the show was an array of neons, metallic, florals, and colour-blocked pastels from Adidas by Stella McCartney, followed by a preview of the new Adidas Barricade tennis collection, also by McCartney. Adidas Performance was tech-heavy and boasted the brand’s fastest football boot – the new adizero F50.

The Originals line reworked classic sports silhouettes inspired by 90s tech running, whilst the Originals’ Blue Collection showed off a range of preppy collegiate clean-cut looks. Adidas Originals by Jeremy Scott was a melting pot of punk, basketball, and totem pole looks and Japanese-tech equestrian inspired looks came from Kazuki 84lab to complete the season preview. The AW13 showing was a chance for Adidas to really show off their diversity and a hint at what might be a new direction for the iconic brand. Take a look through some of the collection in the gallery above.
